Homeschool Convention
Homeschool Convention is a great way to connect with old friends, learn something new through a workshop, maybe even find a unique position in your curriculum that you are not yet aware of before. I love going to a homeschool convention and especially now that I get to go as a speaker and exhibitor and match so many of you! I'll have all the details of where I'll be this year on my episodes page, and if you're going to beat one of those conventions, I would adore it if you would stop by the Triumphant Learning booth and say hi. Conventions are a wonderful way to kick-start your homeschool. Sharing ideas with other homeschool parents will allow you the insight to be the best homeschool director. Since the homeschool movement began homeschool parents have shared their experiences and teaching technique with each other. You too will have the opportunity to do the same at a homeschool convention. Search the new homeschool products and test them out with a lot of samples to take home. I have a sack full of new things to try at home. You will be able to find textbook vendors at the convention too. I got to skim through some of the books I wanted, then found better one instead.
Don't forget to check out the awesome displays and get free samples of curriculum and other homeschool materials. You will be amazed at the variety of materials available. Share your experiences with other homeschool parents and be sure to attend lectures which will teach you new ways to interact with the kids. A homeschool convention is one of the best ways to improve yourself and you homeschool.
